Today if we just go for the keyword earning online in any search engine, it will put in front a number of websites giving the opportunity to work online and earn money, or to how to work for earning online in the Internet. The most of the methods look really attractive saying earn online money with in some shot period or for free or make $1 in a single month and so on. These go up to such an expectation that the visitors subsequently conclude the whole Internet earning methods are all trash. There are some people who can make something from this.

To be specific, either it is online or offline work or any other job, work has to be done to expect some output. There has to be sufficient input for an output. Money can't be made for free in the initial stages at least. Work is must anywhere. Why work online then. Else if you have good analyzing skills, you can start a website or blog and try to get traffic to it and publish ads on it. The key here is a website can be used for both of these methods. Website is an evergreen asset. The publishing programs are Adsense kind of things. Google the keyword "adsense" for more on Google Adsense. The most appropriate online earning method for many people would be by publishing ads on their websites or blogs. Monetizing the blog or website is also a key variable.

Very similar to the increasing demands and cost of land on earth, there will be a revolutionary change in the internet business and website developments. Either on the earth or on the Web. The word Site rules.

Search Engine Traffic - What parameters matter more than Google PageRank

If we get into the topic of web traffic, 90% of the Websites on the Internet get 90% of their traffic from search engines. Obviously, all the webmasters are concerned about their web rankings of Google.

Without any hesitation, Google can be considered as the most used search engine on the web. Google is the homepage for some billions of internet users worldwide. This leads the webmasters to worry about the Google method of positioning the organic search results.

It is well known that PageRank of Google is the ranking algorithm used to rank all the websites in the internet. But is it the only parameter? Definitely not. Google uses a number of different parameters which affect the position of a particular result in the Google organic search results. These parameters may be given equal importance or more importance than the Google's PageRank while positioning the result in the organic search results. This gives a great opportunity for the new Websites to get traffic from the search engines, and Google helps to a greater extent.

As per my knowledge, the following parameters which I discuss on will affect the position of a particular result in the organic search results of Google than any other parameters. I am concluding these based on my experience of googling.


Parameters apart from PageRank

1. The position of the keyword

   The keyword present in the header is given more preference. Then comes the keyword in URL of the page. Then comes the keyword in the content.

2. The format of the keyword

   A keyword in bold gets more preference than normal keyword.

3. The gap between the two keywords

   if there are two keywords in the search phrase, then the gap between the two keywords matters. The nearer the keywords more the preference the page gets.

4. The Keyword in capital letters gets more preference than normal keyword.
5. The page gets high preference in its 24-48hrs of creation.
6. The page's preference increases when a user clicks on the search result.

What also makes sense

1. A full-stop between two keywords can be given lower preference than keywords in single sentence.
2. Related words like synonyms in the page can give additional preference.

That's how the PTC's are. I just don't say that this is the case with all the members. But this is the case with many. There mat be members with earnings up to $100 per month. I really don't know. The case I explained you was just mine.

During this period of four months I used to see the affiliate programs which are additional offers with PTC. Almost all the Websites with PTC programs have an affiliate program. So I used to ask people to join in my network. I used to struggle to get members in my network. I used to mail the referral link to my friends, friends of friends. But I never made a good network in any website I signed up for. The affiliate program also gives some banners which can be put on any pages of ours present on the web. I thought that may help. Then I started to find some free web pages on the web. I got Yahoo's Geocities, some other web pages. I found them not too easier to promote to friends or others.

I searched for some free websites. I came across blogging. I found blogs to be much similar to websites with the additional advantage of template selection and automatic page linking as blog archive. So, this finally made me turn into a blogger.

I tried to write a couple of posts and took some time to write them. I was successful with the good start of a blog. I have put the banners of the affiliate programs. Got involved in blogging a bit.

In the process, I came across adsense which is linked to blogger. I found it in the "Add Page Element" section of my blog. I searched for the keyword "adsense" in google. I got a little information of what it is. Later as the time passed I removed the affiliate banners and started to use adsense. I searched for similar programs like Google Adsense and came across Bidvertiser. Soon I found Adsense to be a better option and put more focus on it. I again faced the failure. This time the lack of visitors to the blog. I started blogging for visitors, I made up few number of qualitative posts. This lead me to put more of my time in just blogging and the previous purpose was diminishing as the time passes. This is the time when I came across PageRank.

I was spending a good amount of time for getting good Google PageRank. I started blog rolling. Joined the community of Bloggers and Blogger in Orkut too. I was very active for some time. Later I took everything lighter as the time I am spending on the web and in front of the computer is too much.

I used to play Age of Empires. We have a good OFC LAN connection in our campus and were playing computer games all the time. I played Aoe. I was interested in Counter Strike. I started blogging about technology and games in my blog. I just was going fine with my games.

One fine day I saw my blog's PageRank and it is shown to be 3 out of 10 points. That made me very happy. That was like a reward for all my work. That was a great moment. This is the time from which I have started to take the Google Analytics data and analyse it well. I started knowing issues how Google shows its results based on the searched keyword. A higher ranked Website doesn't always show up in the top. Even a Website with lower PageRank can be shown at the top. This made me explore the parameters affecting the results shown in a page. This is the stage where the bloggers gain the SEO knowledge. There are many parameters which decide which result to be shown on the top of the other result in Google's Search Results for a particular Keyword.

The SEO knowledge a blogger gains makes a lot of difference to how he blogs and there by leads to a good visitor count to the blog. This is a stage of a successful blogger. And if the blogger is intelligent enough to extract the knowledge out of his own experiences that turns him into the most successful blogger.
